Couldn’t have said it better myself. I often wonder how one can rise spiritually while considering himself or herself victims of anything, much less of some invented, demonic entity they hardly know or understand.

The problem with Islam in general
and Arab culture in particular, is that they lack a fundamental value which is
necessary in a civilized society. That value is humility.
Humility makes a person look
inwards and take responsibility. It makes a person strive to improve one self.
More importantly, humility (the negation or diminution of one self) allows a person
to see and appreciate others around them and to care for their welfare. This value is a key ingredient in making societies
more caring more calm and potentially preparing them to evolve into democracies.
Lack of humility results in never
accepting responsibility and therefore, blaming others. It also results in
arrogance which leads to honor seeking, and when honor is perceived to be
lacking, this leads to anger and violence.
Muslim and Arab societies display the classic signs
mentioned above: Pursuit of honor, blaming others for their own failings, anger
and violence on a personal as well as a societal level.
Therefore, for Arab societies
to change they must adapt and internalize this very important value.Until they do, violence and bloodshed will persist,
and the “Arab spring” we are all wishfully awaiting, will remain far far away.

Illegimate sons of Ismaerl can never overcome their bastardness so they look to blame others for their illegitimacy but the fact still remains, the ismaelites are still bastards.
I am so sick of the whining Muslims. If they are dumb enough to believe everything they read about Ishmael, this simply shows how stupid they are. This particular rift would never have arisen had the story of Ishmael and Isaac been correctly interpreted. Clearly a case of the illegitimate son vs the legitimate. Who would leave their land to a son whose brain capacity a little below normal. As stated Ishmael is a bit of a Donkey, think of Shakespeare’s Bottom in Mid Summer Night’s dream. Apart from this the whole religion is a mish mash of Christianity and Old Judaism. Judaism has moved with the times, hence the Torah, constantly under revision and interpretation. I don’t believe the Koran has an equivalent.
ChaiGuy53 - With all due respect, you know nothing about Islam, which is all about subjugation of the self to God. You are mixing historic phenomena detailed here with the religion itself which is the epitome of humility. Why do you think they bow down before God five times a day?
Justa Ju I believe my fellow commentators know plenty about Islam. You clearly have a very romantic view of Islam. Even back in 640 AD Islam, was fired up into converting many to Islam, many did since they wanted to keep their heads! The only sect of Islam professing any form of Spirituality if Sufism. Whom, I might add disapprove of the current violence, Rape Jihads and other atrocities being carried out in 2013 21st Century. But then of course you are entitled to refute the facts of Radical Islam dominating world headlines today. The point is Justa Ju your noble Islamic Leaders i.e. Saudi Royal Family, Wahhabi, want to keep the petrodollars rolling in! Iran wants more Russian Rupels! Both Iran and Saudi are desperate to get the Chinese multi-billion petrodollar market and to still retain the tiddly Euro-petro market. Islamic Sheiks just love being able to do as they like, pay for child brides, buy Virgins, not too mention Khomeini’s little daliance with a 6 year old bride, shall I go on? Omar Khayam was not a Muslim, evident from his poetry!

With all due respect, to be humble before G-d is not
a big deal.It is axiomatic with
believing in G-d.It is the first step, otherwise
there is no belief.
The big deal is to take it further: by being humble
in front of G-d’s other creations; by appreciating G-d through seeing the
wonder of all his creation; by respecting the people he created and treating
them as you would want to be treated yourself.

YES this is a very interesting topic to be debated among the Muslim and Jewish Leaders but with the thought to come up with a solution and not to only blame each other and do what s and had been happening all these years, then I am sure things will get sorted out by itself.
