  6. The author assumes the right to decide who is a "legitimate" member of the Jewish family. The author has no such right.

  8. Guys- anti occupation does not make one anti Israel. I am a proud Israeli citizen and for years (along with many other proud Israelis) have supported and practiced a boycott of illegal settlement beyond the Green Line. Go ahead- call me anti-Israel with a straight face. I dare you! So done with American Jews seeing things in only black and white.

  10. I would never call you anti-Israel, and I certainly don't like the settler movement any more than you do, BUT, boycotters of settlement products practice a certain kind of hypocrisy unless they do the same for all repressive regimes and occupations, so next time you buy a gadget that's "Made in China" or a myriad of other places for that matter, ask yourself why you choose to single out West Bank settlers and whether or not you are acting in an intellectually consistent way.

  11. There's an organization called "JCC Watch"?!?!

  12. Roei Gurvitz – Here is the difference -I obviously do not boycott the entire nation (as many on the left have called for with the divestment movement. I will boycott the specific action and specific location. The equivilant for China would be not to boycott or oppose all things China – but specifically certain actions in Tibet for example. To me the West Bank settlements are a specific issue with a specific action as a response – far more legitimate, consistent, and effective than calling for a general boycott of Israel (and those who do call for it – fine, hand over your cell phone)

  13. I hate to inform you all, but the USA was formed and founded by settlers willing to work the land and create a better society for them and their families. If this fact bothers you, perhaps you should leave the USA and go back to Europe or wherever there are no settlers. The only two places that I know of that never had any settler activity is the North Pole, or Antartica. Maybe you should consider living there.
