  1. The action of the judge makes me feel like vomiting. Can the government intervene? Is there a way for the prosacuter to appeal the decision to let him go free. The message is that Arabs can rape Israeli girls and do not need to fear the consequences.

  4. because our High Court is self-selected by co-option among pro-Arab judges already in place and the US refuses our Government and Knesset the right to pass a law to democratize the selection of judges in our country.

  7. Actually, the prosecutors did appeal the sentence which was given by judge Ron Shapira of the Haifa District Court, but the Israeli Supreme Court refused to have it changed.

  8. six months for rape and Jews not allowed on the temple mount? where is Jewish justice? If in Arabia, he would be killed.

  9. REHABILITATE?????????? 'judge' Ron Shapira – you will get your 'justice!!!' G-d will give it to you!!

  10. One cannot rehabilitate sociopathic deviants. Had he commited these acts in an arab country. he would have been stoned to death. Haven't we turned enough cheeks. Haven't we been too conciliatory. I don't want to be crude, but there is great truth in the saying, "you can't shine ****". Enough said. Tired of the pansy assed liberals trying to get good out of evil.

  12. Yechiel, please note it is six months of COMMUNITY SERVICE, not jail time. Plus the community service to which he has been assigned will mean he will be polluting the purification rituals of the bodies of deceased Jews (chevra kadisha). Can you imagine a more grotesque sentence?!

    Comment by Lori Lowenthal Marcus — October 17, 2013 @ 4:36 PM

  13. Six months jail is too lenient a sentence judge or no judge, same crime punishment fits all irrespective of who you are. Incidentally Yechiel, despicable arabs in Saudi are not hung but are simply fined – that is until the majority gets around for forcing the powers that be a stiffer sentence for rape is needed. Rarely are rapists hung, the victim is hung or humiliated in public.

  14. Lori you are wrong, sorry, I am jewish in tradition, not religious, but I did chevra kadisha and I didn't find grotesque.

  15. It is time to change goverment and authorities in Israel, installing the dead penalty and a quasi "sharia law", this actual authorities are making a good live at the expence of the tax payers unstead to serve.

  16. Esteban Sperber DOING A TAHARA IS NOT GROTESQUE BUT HAVING AND ANTI-SEMETIC RAPIST DOING IT IS GROTESQUE

    Comment by Joseph Marmor — October 17, 2013 @ 6:11 PM

  17. A while ago someone proposed that Israel sometimes exhibits the behavior of an abused child or wife — taking responsibility for the abuse and refusing to blame the abuser. Judge Shapira certainly seems to be suffering from some sort of mental disease or defect for sentencing such a barbarian to the opportunity to do a mitzvah.

the child victim (the actual victim) and her family are entitled to an apology from the government of the state of Israel.

  23. Esteban Sperber of course SERVING on a chevra kadisha is not grotesque. Indeed, it is one of the highest forms of mitzvot. My point was that having a deviant like this convict be sentenced to be part of a purification ritual is disgusting.

  24. Re: “Her husband needs a permit to touch her.” HUH?! SINCE WHEN!? Read the Qur’an and ahadith – “Women are like tilth for you to plow them at will!” Muslimas must Submit to their husband’s sexual desires time-tables or be beaten for refusing!

As for the rest – 6 months’ community service?!
The “judge” in this case should be lynched. Just sayin!’
