  1. Anyone have any information regarding this man and his party? I have not found anything to indicate that Egypt has a party called a "Liberal Party" today, nor have I found anything about Dr. Najib.

  2. Maha Hussein, Ahmed Sedky, is there a party in Egypt headed by a Dr. Najib? If so, what is it called? This story looks false, can you corroborate that?

  3. Never heard about it or him. To the best of my knowledge, this story is completely fabricated. Will check around to be sure, because heaven knows we've got about 50 or 60 political (wannabes) partied too many, which will all more than likely go out of business soon, but this name and party don't ring any bells whatsoever, and I'm pretty familiar with most, if not all of them, and their leaders, including the Mickey Mouse operations.
    Sedky?

  4. the liberal party exists, however it is a dwarf in egyptian politics. i do not believe it will be able to enter parliament in the next elections. the party has been created in the time when anyone was able to create a political party, without any qualifications.
although proclaimed liberal, it does not represent the majority of liberals in egypt, which are mostly represented by the free egyptians party of naguib sawiris and al dostour of dr. baradai.
however there are people in egypt who would utter similar crap, mixing issues between zionism and judaism and global reality.
it is the typical immature behavior when they do not get what they have hope for.
dr. naguib is a peripheral appearance of egyptian politics who wants to some few seconds of fame.

  5. Perhaps the author of the essay, or the Jewish Press editors, can give us more information regarding this man and supposed party.

  6. Charlie Hall – I checked all three links in Elder's article and they're real. The third one is in Arabic, and my Google translate basically says they're unhappy that Time picked a lesbian over A Sissi.

"Liberal": the exclusion of "TIME" for "Sisi" and choose a lesbian activist .. Scandal

First paragraph: The President of the Liberal Party Dr Medhat Najib, regretted what he called "the fall resounding" magazine "TIME" of America, which violated all the rules of professional, ruled Defense Minister Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who has been knighted for vote readers until the end of the voting process, despite all attempts by Brotherhood and made them Qataris and the Zionists.

Now, I tend to also agree with reader Ahmed Sedky who says it's a nothing party that probably serves as a lapdog for the Junta. But the links are not faked.

  10. Anti-Semitism is rampant and endemic throughout the Moslem world. What else is new?

  11. It is no disgrace to the Jews to be credited for owning a successful magazine.

How come the Egyptians did not vote in Arab magazines for Sisi? are they sissies?

  12. And has anyone ever cared about anyone other than the winner?

BTW being even the Person of the Year does not mean you are a good person. Among past winners are Pierre Laval, Adolph Hitler, and Joseph Stalin. :(
