  1. Before they call for divestment from these companies, they should boycott them first, starting with General Electric. When one of these students needs a diagnostic test to determine the medical cause of an illness, they should boycott GE's MRI machines. Let them use ACME's MRI instead.

I think it's funny that a bunch of spoiled brats think anybody's going to listen to them when many of these companies provide goods and services that nobody else can provide, especially a bunch of brats with degrees in bs studies. Forget the fact that GE and those other companies provide things that improve the world and aren't used for military strikes or oppression. Look at GE, a company that's making huge strides in fuel efficiency and other green advancements, as well as medical advancements (palestinians in Israeli hospitals are saved using these products as they are saved by Jewish doctors). The other companies provide building materials and equipment, which aren't used to oppress anybody. Even if these other companies provide the concrete and steel used to make protective barriers, they're providing defensive building materials.

If a bully punches a kid in the head and the kid buys a safety helmet to protect his noggin, why attack the makers of the helmets or the kid who's simply trying to protect himself? We should applaud the kid for not stabbing his bullies in their throats, not trying everything we can to make sure he doesn't have a helmet the next time a bunch of bullies uses him as a punching bag. Stand up to bullies. Stand up to the BDS movement.
