Aggression – the Illegal Use of Force

Because the Arabs were clearly the aggressors, nowhere in UN Security Council Resolutions 242 or 338 – the cornerstones of a peace settlement – is Israel branded as an invader or occupier of the Territories.

UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 have never branded Israel as an occupier or aggressor. As a matter of fact, the UN rejected every draft resolution that attempted to brand Israel as aggressor and those calling on Israel to withdraw from all the territories.

The wording of UN Resolutions 242 and 338 clearly reflect the contention that none of the territories were occupied territories taken by force in an unjust war.

Because the Arabs were clearly the aggressors, nowhere in UN Security Council Resolutions 242 or 338 – the cornerstones of a peace settlement – is Israel branded as an invader or occupier of the Territories.

It is imperative to view Resolution 242, as finally approved, in distinction to draft resolutions that were more adamant of Israel and which none received the needed votes to become effective:

Yugoslavia introduced a draft resolution which called for Israel to withdraw behind the lines established in the General Armistice Agreements of 1949.

A draft resolution introduced by the Latin-American Nations, required Israel to withdraw “from all the territories occupied …”

The Soviet draft resolution on 18th June, 1967 called Israel actions “… previously prepared aggression …” was defeated on 4 July 1967, by 36 votes in favor, 57 against, and 23 abstentions.

The same day, an Albanian draft resolution branding Israel actions “aggression” and “occupation” was defeated by 22 votes in favor, 71 against, and 27 abstentions.

Professor Eugene Rostow, then U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, went on record in 1991 to make this clear. He testified:

Resolution 242, which as undersecretary of state for political affairs between 1966 and 1969 I helped produce, calls on the parties to make peace and allows Israel to administer the territories it occupied in 1967 until “a just and lasting peace in the Middle East” is achieved. When such a peace is made, Israel is required to withdraw its armed forces ‘from territories’ it occupied during the Six-Day War – not from ‘the’ territories nor from ‘all’ the territories, but from some of the territories, which included the Sinai Desert, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

The text of these drafts indicates that the UN undoubtedly debated and considered the scope of Israel’s withdrawal, and ultimately rejected a return to the 1949 Armistice lines.

The Arab migrants from twenty two Arab nations occupying Eretz Israel, needs to return back to their nations, just as Jewish arab citizens in Arab nations were forced out of the Arab nations they were born, and expelled by Arab regimes, and Israel resettled them. Why can’t the Arab nations do likewise, dear friend Muhammad Sohail? What is good for the goose is good for the gander, Muhammad Sohail, please you agree? Ok!
    Thanks. :-)

  2. Reginald Uka says:

“Palestine”or “Palestinians”is as lie! There is no truth in this man contrived fraud! Knowingly insisting that a lie is a fact; is knowing that the earth is not spherical, but to appease Islam? You agree with the liar, that it is flat. HYPOCRISY!

  3. dear friend ! I am also a muslim like arabs. But according to my opinion the arabs are agressive and they always use to spread exremism in our muslim society. Therefore i don’t like them. Jews are very intelligent and they did lot for modern world therefore they are likeable.

  4. and i want to set close relationship with jews.

  5. Lucas Koermer is an ass and got what he deserved. Imbecile!!

  6. Israel is , was and always will be God’s promised land deeded for all time to the Jewish people. There is no such place or people as the so called Palestine or “palistinians” ! The vast majority of these usurpers are Jordanians and Egyptians who flooded the Land to drive the Jewish people ” into the sea” as Egyptian Arafat said was the goal. Islam is the epitome if evil, foisted on those blinded by hatred.

  7. Reginald Uka says:

Hi Muhammad, thank you for your sincere response! As a Muslim, like you said you are, have you thought of this question one day? That is why are these Arabs, who, are Muslims like you said, “aggressive, and spread extremism in your society”
Have you checked the Quran, the Muslim book of belief to see if there is something there, that causes the aggression and extremism?
What does Sura 9:29, command to all Muslims to do for Allah and Muhammad!

“Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor prohibit what Allah and his messenger prohibited, that is the infidels, Jews, Christians and idolaters! Until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of Islam as superior, the tax is Jizzya, and they feel humiliated and submit to become Muslims to avoid punishing taxation”.

Sura 8:12 “I shall cast terror into the hearts of infidels. Strike of their heads, [behead them], ,maim them in every limb.”

Sura 47:4 ” Therefore, when ye (Muslims) meet the unbelievers (Jews, Christians, and others), in fight, smite at their necks; [behead the unbelievers], at length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly on them:thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: [or you can take a ransom] until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded); but if it had been Allah’s will, he could certainly have exacted retribution from them himself, but he let you fight in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the way of Allah, he will never let their deeds be lost.

To my friend Muhammad Sohail, what is your comment on the above suras and its commands to Muslims by Allah through his messenger Muhammad?

  8. Haim Kohen says:

I don’t andrestand why part of muslim dos not face the truth.
