Malachi Rosenfeld HY"D

First of all I wish to express my deepest pain and condolences to the family of Malachi Moshe Rosenfeld HY”D who was murdered by yet another terror attack simply because he was Jewish.  Along with the pain of this brutal attack and my prayers for a speedy recovery to the other victims I feel anger.  Yes anger- at the ease that we are ambushed, attacked and murdered in our own Land by terrorists who are praised by the official PA and other Arab groups, and all of this ignored by the UN and basically the world.

I cannot even count the times that I and my friends have gone out to save lives including Arabs living in the PA controlled regions. Human life is precious – that is what we Jews believe.

We are taught as Israeli Defense Soldiers to try and avoid harming those innocent Arabs who are basically being held hostage by the terrorists- specifically knowing how careful we try to be even to the point of endangering our lives and those of our fellow soldiers in arms.

The hypocrisy of the world did not begin with the so-called “Israeli-Arab conflict”.  Where was the world while our families were hunted down and sent to death camps all over Europe and the British were more than eager to send out their soldiers to prevent Jews from returning home to the Land of our people?  Where were the countries of the world as time and time again despite concessions to the Arabs we are attacked and murdered?

Time after time Israel, and the Jewish people here and all over the world are under attack and in grave danger- but the focus of the UN is to denounce Israel, ignore the true situation and attack Israel despite – or perhaps because of our humanitarian agenda.

The thousands of injured that we have brought in from Gaza, Syria, Lebanon to receive medical care are not mentioned in any official or even unofficial report- it is not in the agenda of the world to accept Israel as we are, only to attack and condemn us.

While innocent men, women, youth, babies are attacked , injured and murdered by Arab terrorists who are considered as martyrs even in the eyes of the official PLO, and not merely the Hamas, we time and again witness governments of Israel granting special concessions to the Arabs instead of realizing and acknowledging the dangers of re-opening  roads, shops and giving freedom of worship during the Ramadan holiday.

I feel anger not only at the world, but perhaps even more so at my governments who ignore the dangers and continue to pretend that concessions will prevent hatred and terror.

This is our Land and we will continue to fight to protect it in any way needed and to protect the lives of our Nation.
