לְאַיֵּשׁ

If you read the title of this post and didn’t quite understand what I’m getting it, you’re probably not the only one.
The word לְאַיֵּשׁ ( listen and repeat) doesn’t really have a direct translation into English. The best I could come up with is to man and to staff, but these don’t quite do this word justice. It means something to the effect of to place personnel into a position or positions.
For example:
יֵשׁ תַּפְקִידֵי מוֹרִים שֶׁאֲנִי צָרִיךְ לְאַיֵּשׁ.
There are teacher positions that I need to fill with people.
לאייש is an active-intensive פִּעֵל verb, using one of the words for man – אִישׁ ( listen and repeat) – as its three-letter root.
