בְּיַחַד

Today is ט”וּ בְּאָב ( listen and repeat) – the 15th of the Jewish month of Av – which is the Jewish day of love.
The Hebrew word for together is בְּיַחַד ( listen and repeat) (alternatively and more formally, יַחַד ( listen and repeat)).
For example:
טִיַּלְנוּ בְּיַחַד בַּמִּזְרָח.
We traveled together in the east.

You may note that the word יחד is very close in both letters and sound to the masculine form of the word for one – אֶחָד ( listen and repeat). Two of the three root letters are the same and in the same position in the root – take away the י (y) at the beginning of יחד and the א (a) at the beginning of אחד, and you get a more basic, more primal two-letter root, ח.ד (kh.d). This is the core concept of oneness.
