The Founding of Modern Shiloh, 1978

The Walla news site uploaded a home-movie clip of the founding of the modern town of Shiloh, Judea and Samaria.


At the Walla news site they have been uploading amateur movie clips and one of them includes the founding ceremony of Shiloh, my home community, which took place on Tu Bshvat, January 23, 1978, filmed by Avraham Baharav.

The building is called Kuba’at A-Sakina or more often, Jama A-Sittin,and the biblical verse in the popster is from Joshua 18:3 –

‘How long are ye slack to go in to possess the land, which the LORD, the God of your fathers, hath given you?
