Regarding wrap dresses, you need to try some of them and see how you feel about it. Why? Because the wraps creates a V neck and has a certain fullness at the front due to the pressure caused by the waistline straps. Sadly, most women I know who are Rectangles avoid wearing wraps.

Although a V and U neckline are mandatory for all other body types, you have the luxury of choosing whether you want it in your wardrobe or not. Some Rectangles prefer avoiding them, as these necklines elongate the neck and torso. The best way to know if they will respond to your fashion expectations is by simply observing yourself in front of a mirror. Do you feel comfortable with the V and U necklines? Would you feel better with a crew or boat neckline?

For the tall woman, the mid-calf skirt will look great on you. Usually tall women have a bit of a dilemma with skirts, since, when wearing a maxi, their legs will seem too long, and if they wear a shorter style, the effect is also a bit overwhelming. A skirt at knee level is fine, and I’ve heard many happy replies from tall Rectangles who wear mid-calf skirts.

The skirts can have volume or have a pencil shape. Personally, I love it when a wonderful Rectangle wears a flared skirt made of thick fabric, as it adds curves and a lot of volume.

Prints! Yes, you already know I love prints and the best type for you is the round ones. Take a look at dresses, skirts or tops with large, round shaped prints, like flowers, circles, trees or even butterflies. Large prints will accentuate your curves – a lovely optical illusion!

Once again, thank you for reading Styling with Esther, and see you again next week.
