TOP TIPS

A tailored jacket, one that is perfectly fitted on your waistline and, preferably, made with a fabric that has a bit of stretch, will do wonders for your looks.

Keeping this jacket open as you wear it will give the impression of a slimmer figure and create a beautiful waistline shape.

Raglan tops also will slim your shoulder line. How do you like princess seam tops and dresses? They “divide” your upper half in 3 and then again, a slimmer look is created.

Wrap tops, dresses and fake wraps will look great on you because besides creating that V neck line, the fabric will drape around your bust line and define your waist.

Careful when tacking a shirt inside your skirt or pants. Some Strawberries actually look better when leaving them out. Also, the lengths of your tops should be a bit below the hipbone, which will elongate the body and distribute the attention to your midriff.

Do you like belts? Go for it!

RULES FOR SKIRTS AND PANTS

Careful with pencil skirts and leggings, as they can make your bottom half look too small.

It’s ok to wear them, but just give a second look in the mirror before going to the party because some pencil skirt manufacturers really give a deep “in” cut at the side seams.

Besides that, all other skirt shapes look great on you: Flared, A-line, Maxy, Sarongs, Tulips, Fit and Flare… they’re all your friends.

If you wear pants, give a try to the cigarette or palazzo style instead of the skinny one. A Strawberry lady should add curves to the bottom, and there are plenty of styles that help us with that. Pockets, pleats and embellishments at the bottoms are great allies.

Coco Chanel once stated that we should fix ourselves at least a little bit, if not for ourselves, then out of politeness to others.

I always keep that in mind when leaving the house. Dressing out of politeness… for us and for others. Friends, family, and even strangers who recognize us in the supermarket checkout line as we wonder how they even know us.

Politeness goes a long way.

“You never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny,” said Chanel as she finished her phrase about the woman who is fashionably polite.

It’s always inspiring to see a woman dressing well, it makes us all feel respected. After all, she is being polite to herself… to society… to life!

What does your child says when you pick her up at school? Are you being polite to her?
