    The idea behind poli is a body of citizens, by extension many in one, or consensus, thus the concept of politics. Poli comes from polis, which came to signify a city. Polemic, polyglot, and polymorphism all readily adapt themselves to politics, which does not really meam "many tics," as they try to control those for the cameras.
