Minister of Education Gidon Saar announced today in the Knesset that his school trips to Hevron program will be expanding due to the demand for it.

Last week a school trip to Hevron was cancelled by the police.

In cooperation with the school in question, the students were also supposed to meet with a radical leftwing NGO who were going to show students the "other side" of Israeli existence in Hevron. The police decided to cancel the entire trip, allegedly because they believed the organization was going to take the students into areas the police believed to be dangerous.
