JewishPress.com would like to welcome you to our Scoops forum.

The goals of this forum is for you, the reader, to be the first to learn about breaking news stories, and for you to post scoops that you found out first: Citizen Journalism.

As you post, your fellow readers can and can rank your scoops and responses, hopefully increasing your credibility over time as your scoops prove correct. Scoops can be on any subject, though preferably something related or of interest to Israel and the Jewish People.

Anyone can read the scoops forum, but you first must be accepted as a member if you want to post.

The forum does not have pre-moderation on posts. The managers will be here to help guide the forum and keep it pointed in the right direction.

This is a risk we are taking to allow you to be the first with breaking news and to allow this concept to work. We hope that the members will work together to ensure the quality of the forum and to create a community around it.

Do not post false or obscene information. Period.

If we receive legitimate complaints about a specific post, we will work to make sure the post is taken down.

If we see someone is abusing the forum they may be suspended or banned.

If you simply disagree with an opinion someone offered, ignore it, argue it out, but don't resort to ad hominum attacks, or report the author as having broken the rules.

If we see someone's credibility is very high and consistently bringing in scoops, you may be invited to the private scoops forum where we post our scoops not yet ready for the general audience, or be invited to be a Scoops forum manager.

We, and the rest of the world, look forward to reading your scoops.
