The Jewish Press would like to apologize to Jack Abramoff for a recent blog post that questioned whether or not he was eating non-kosher when spotted at a Washington D.C. restaurant meeting with Tom DeLay.

Mr. Abramoff has made it clear to the paper that he would never eat treif.

We apologize for any anguish the post may have caused him or his family.

The offending blog post has been retracted.

Why is it anyone’s business what Jack Abramoff eats?

  2. Okoro Leo C says:

It takes humility to show remorse, and it costs nothing. You still remain Jewish Press!

  3. Anonymous says:

Far more important that Jewish Press's retraction is why didn't thew Jewish Press and its editors not vet this story and brazenly false statements? Abramoff went through three years in a federal prison and refused to eat traif of any kind. Shame on Jewish Press and it's editors and publisher for this brazen Loshen Horah.

This is United Torah Judaism parliament member Yaakov Litzman speaking in the Knesset. But when I saw it, all I could think of was the Pesach song, “Echad, Mi Yodea” (“One, Who Knows One?”).
