This past week, the Anti Defamation League went public with a criticism of “mainline” Arab-American groups for failing to speak out against anti-Semitism and terrorist acts committed against Jews by Palestinians and other Arabs. The ADL point that such failure only tends to legitimatize and ultimately to encourage such behavior is surely a valid one.
However, we would take it a step further. Perhaps the mainliners are silent because they support the terror and not because of timidity or inadvertence. Certainly the continuing revelations of illegal fund-rasing by Arab groups here in America and the funneling of the proceeds to terrorist groups provides some food for thought.
