The Jewish Press joins countless others in Klal Yisrael in mourning the passing of Rebbetzin Sheila Feinstein. Rebbetzin Feinstein was a highly respected educator, having served in senior positions in several yeshivas and as an elementary-school teacher in the New York City public school system. Noted for her rock-solid emunah, dynamism, intelligence, and always dignified presence, she was a role model for countless Jewish girls.

She was the wife of Rav Reuven Feinstein, shlita, the rosh yeshiva of the Yeshiva of Staten Island, and contributed mightily to his work there and for the Torah world generally. As he noted at the levaya: “She supported me…she was mechazek me and took care of the whole olam hazeh part of my life.”
