At first glance they may seem rather an unlikely pair to have built a company together. One may even wonder how these two came to meet in the first place.  A dynamic Russian Israeli from Moscow brimming with enthusiasm and a talented, and a Spanish Moroccan from Tangier with a soft-spoken demeanor. Eddie Nuvakhov encountered David Levy at a Shabbat meal, where the idea of forming a video production agency would begin to germinate.

Bonded by a common passion for film, they soon realized the value of their complementary talents. Eddie’s exuberance and ability to connect with people was tempered by David’s passion and calm, and thus, LNC Productions was born.

The story of Eddie and David recalls that of earlier immigrants. Their desire to succeed – influenced by a tremendous sense of gratitude for the opportunities afforded to them – became a desire to create a vehicle with which to give back and enrich American society.

In the past two years, while living away from their families, Eddie and David have achieved their dream to establish a thriving, creative enterprise focused on all aspects of video production including documentaries, commercials, promotional and even music videos.

They have risen to tremendous heights, filming for prominent fashion designers, creating videos featuring the likes of Dr. Oz and Elie Wiesel, as well as producing advertisements for large organizations and companies. However Eddie (as producer) and David (as director), yeshiva educated baalei-teshuva, take particular pride in productions for Jewish causes and recognize how the impact of film can strengthen the Jewish community.

An example of this remarkable commitment to Jewish causes found them, in the midst of a very busy production schedule, taking the time to independently produce a documentary focusing on the tiny and struggling Jewish community of Maspeth, Queens. It is a story that touches on the common and heartbreaking themes of neighborhood change, community-less children and parents left behind. As a direct result, several benefactors have recently come forth volunteering their support for the elderly congregants who remain.

They continue to produce videos for Jewish organizations including the Jewish Values Network, Orthodox Union and Yeshiva University with the goal of driving community engagement. The documentary they created for the Jewish Values Network features Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Professor Elie Weisel and Dennis Prager (Talk Radio Host and political activist). The video was screened at the organization’s gala awards dinner held in the New York Marriot Marquis with an audience of five hundred influential attendees. The duo’s numerous promotional videos for the Orthodox Union, including coverage of the Jewish Communities Fair in April at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan, feature on the Orthodox Union’s website. For Yeshiva University they created a documentary about influential university president, Dr. Samuel Belkin.

These two creative individuals have already established themselves as exceptional filmmakers, have established excellent reputations and are clearly on a trajectory to success.  They have a desire to inspire others through their belief in the positive change that the power of video can affect. As the acronym of their company name LNC Productions references, Life Needs Creativity.

As they continue to grow their business, we hope that the influence they have on both the Jewish world and the film industry will increase.

It is certainly inspiring to note that the American dream is not dead, that at least two individuals carry the torch and hope that our grandparents came to these shores with. We expect them to continue to positively influence others through their medium of video, furnishing us with a bright outlook towards the leaders of today’s Jewish entrepreneurs.
