Presbyterian Terror

The death of Daniel Wultz is “a gift from Allah, and revenge against American support for Israel,” said Abu Nasser, a leader of the Al Aksa Murderers Brigade, one of the Palestinian groups responsible for the Tel Aviv Passover atrocity.

Abu Nasser: “We wish this young dog will go directly to hell. Wultz was part of the American support machine that helps our enemy. I imagine him as one of these Nazis who live here. There is no difference between him and them.”

Abu Amin, a leader of Islamic Jihad, another terrorist gang that operates under Hamas’s umbrella, also rushed to claim responsibility for this outrage and stated: “.even if you live in America the hand of Allah and the sword of Jihad will reach you, and you will find the same end as Wultz.”

Asked if his group will specifically target Americans in Israel, the terrorist leader responded: “Killing Americans and Jews in one operation – it can be just great!”

Which leads us to the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA). Two years ago PCUSA passed a resolution calling for “phased, selective divestment in multinational corporations operating in Israel.” Apparently, this was not a resolution called for by the rank and file of the church, but by a number of radical left leaders.

Not content with the classic leftist divestment tactic, elements of PCUSA, from the Chicago Middle East Task Force, met with leaders of the terrorist organization Hizbullah in Lebanon.

Hizbullah, of course, is funded by Iran, does not recognize Israel’s existence, and is sworn to “the destruction of the Zionist entity.” Hizbullah occupies southern Lebanon and has a vast army there with miles of elaborate bunkers and a huge arsenal of rockets trained on Israel’s major cities. Naturally, the fine folks of Hizbullah are Holocaust deniers (as are official state-sponsored Arab media in every single Arab country).

In 1994 there was a massive blast in the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires. One hundred Jews – men, women and children – were slaughtered, two-hundred and fifty gravely wounded. This terrorist atrocity was financed by Iranian intelligence and carried out by Hizbullah operatives.

The Argentine government recently released details of its investigation into another terror incident: the bombing of the Israeli Embassy on March 17, 1992, in which thirty people were killed and more than two hundred wounded. That bombing was also conducted by Iranian intelligence services, with Hizbullah playing a key role in its execution.

The Iranians are also responsible for designing and building the roadside bombs that are killing American soldiers in Iraq right now.

These are the people PCUSA has climbed into bed with. This is the organization PCUSA has aligned itself with: a notorious terrorist gang that kills Jews and Americans.

At a certain point, naive peaceniks cross a line and become terrorist enablers. The good news is that Kathy Leuckert, deputy executive associate director of the General Assembly Council, and Peter Sulyok, coordinator of the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy, were notified that they were no longer employed by the Presbyterian Church (USA).

The bad news is that Leuckert and Sulyok were just two of the staff leaders who went with twenty-two other Presbyterians on a “fact-finding” trip to the Middle East.

Allow me to speculate about the “facts” these distinguished theologians discovered in Lebanon: I think I’m safe in saying that half these “facts” are not true, and the other half are just outright lies.

And I’m being charitable here.

By the way, does anyone else get the funny feeling that people pushing for divestment from Israel believe more in the gospel according to Castro, Mao, Arafat, and Hugo Chavez than in the gospel according to Matthew, Mark Luke, and John?

Well it’s nothing new with the PC’s CMETF. That’s always been their position.

UNHRC High Commissioner Navi Pillay accuses the IDF of possible war crimes in Gaza again, cutting slack to Hamas.

There is much I can write you about what is going here, but I am wondering what I should not write. I will start by imagining that I am you, sitting at home in the Los Angeles area and flipping back and forth between the weather, traffic reports, the Ukraine, Mexican illegals and Gaza. No […]

Should Jews in Europe take more responsibility in self-defense of community and property?

It is time for a total military siege on Gaza; Nothing should enter the Gaza Strip.

Germany’s The Jewish Faith newspaper ominously noted, “We Jews are in for a war after the war.”

The truth is we seldom explore with kids what prayer is supposed to be about.

Almost as one, Jews around the world are acknowledging the day-to-day peril facing ordinary Jews in Israel and the extraordinary service of the IDF in protecting them.

So on the one hand Secretary Kerry makes no bones about who is at fault for the current hostilities: he clearly blames Hamas.

King Solomon said it long ago: “Cast your bread upon the waters” because you don’t know when you’ll hit something. Our job is to do.

The anti-Israel camp does not need to win America fully to its side. Merely to neutralize it would radically alter the balance of power and put Israel in great jeopardy.

Death & Taxes

Welcome to Obamaland, where death and taxes is no longer an ironic statement, but a grim reality.

With the debate over gun control at fever pitch following the atrocity in Newtown, Connecticut, I thought readers of The Jewish Press would find the following account of my experience during the Los Angeles riots of 1992 both timely and interesting.

When Sarah Palin burst upon the national scene and the liberal media attempted to destroy her, I observed on my blog, Seraphic Secret, that she was being transformed into a hated Jew.

Each rhetorical bombardment against her was and is reminiscent of the Arab strategy to demonize Jews and Israel.

True genius is a rare commodity.

Five years ago, 26-year-old Moshe Hammer, z”l, a Lubavitch artist who frequently worked through the night, stepped outside for a walk in Los Angeles, to clear his head and recharge his creative batteries. As was his custom, Moshe rambled miles from his apartment in the Fairfax district.

There is no question in my mind that so-called anti-Zionism serves as a fig leaf for Jew-hatred.

There is no other explanation.

I know of no other country whose legitimacy is as relentlessly questioned and undermined as is Israel’s. You would think that those who espouse the love of human rights and rejection of violence and government oppression would attack, with proper fury, countries like Congo, Sudan, Jordan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Cuba, Libya, Dubai, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Venezuela, and of course the most repressive country on the planet, North Korea.

Islamo-Nazis came to Mumbai, and besides attacking major hotels, centers of commerce, and tourist attractions, they went Jew-hunting.

Well, we just marked the anniversary of the 9/11 atrocities and who pops out of his Caliphite Cave?

Yup, Osama bin Laden.

Until 1967, Gaza was part of Egypt. The Arabs who lived in Gaza considered themselves – get this – Egyptians. The Muslim Brotherhood was active and quite popular in Gaza – and outlawed by the Egyptian government.
