Given that track record, it’s not unlikely that yet another pathetic Republican candidate will emerge to challenge Obama, who is (if nothing else) the title-holding champion of campaigners. He’s shown he can take a punch, and his own are bloody knockouts.

Thus, regardless of the prevailing circumstances and expectations of the country come election time 2012, absent a state of catastrophe, Obama plainly stands a good chance of reelection. For those who oppose his policies, it all points to a rather sad victory party this November.
