The Gates Of Righteousness

In the prayer that is recited on the Shabbat before the beginning of every month we say: “May it be Your will, O God, to renew for us a month of goodness and blessing, and grant us a long life, a life of health…”

When we are unable to take care of ourselves, or when ill, we hope for God’s assistance. And we should also thank God for all those angels that do all that is in their power to restore us to health and happiness.
