Parshas Shoftim: Shabbos Yerushalayim!

The 4th day, Wednesday signifies the path of Shabbos re-entering our midst and it is therefore quite appropriate that the 4th of the sheva d’nechemta is the haftarah which most connects with Shabbos and Lecha Dodi.

And these are some of the happenings in this week’s haftarah.

Question: If Abraham was commanded to circumcise his descendants on the eighth day, why do Arabs – who claim to descend from Abraham through Yishmael – wait until their children are 13 to circumcise them?
