And so I tried to put “Baruch Hashem” back on my lips. And once I did, my attitude changed. My burdens became easier to bear. Just a few days ago I found employment as a seamstress in a dry-cleaning store. I always enjoyed sewing; now, for the first time in a few years, some income is being generated to help keep my family going.

It was from reading your column that I felt inspired to make “Baruch Hashem” part of my vocabulary again, and the more I say those two little words, the more peace I find in my heart. Somehow it enables me to see things from a different perspective. It’s really almost miraculous how two words, if used consistently, can make a difference in your life outlook.
