Capacity for Cruelty

The late Ariel Sharon sitting beside the very much alive Shimon Peres in the Knesset, Jan. 26, 2005.

Even though they appear so different in the details of their biographies: one a military man who turned to politics at the very end of his career, the other a politicians’ politician – in terms of their effect on the Zionist endeavor I view their contribution as identical.

Both have done so much to establish a thriving Jewish state in Eretz Israel, and both have invested themselves so deeply in an effort to squash it.

Both, in my view, also shared a tremendous capacity for cruelty.

  1. Capacity for cruelty?? To whom?? Those who would destroy Israel? Yes, most accurate. For that the author villifies both men. Perhaps the auther has forgotten the 2000 years of hatred and destruction heaped upon the Jew. Perhaps the author negates the truth of anti-JEWISH verbiage uttered by those who demand the destruction of both Israel and the JEW. which permeates the world to this very day.
