An Eruv maintenance team repaired the Eruv around the town of Beit Shemesh before Shabbat.

The Eruv is a symbolic/legal fiction that transforms a public space where one is not allowed to carry on Shabbat according to Jewish law, into a space where one is allowed to carry.
