Two years ago, the Israeli government and hundreds of soldiers expelled the legal owners of the Machpelah House in Hebron from their building.

The government refused to accept that Jews had bought the building, and ignored all the relevant documentation.

I’m posting this, as the events yesterday in Ma’aleh Rehavam are strikingly similar.

It took almost 2 years, and simply a decision by the Prime Minister to acknowledge that Jews legally own the Hebron building, at which point the Jewish families were (eventually) allowed back in.

This is the video of that expulsion.

If anything, there is hope for Ma’aleh Rehavam (and Gush Katif), even if it takes time.
