Lobbyist Bill Clinton and Israeli lobbyist Ehud Barak, 2010.

His lobbying for energy companies against the interests of the Israeli government is not the only questionable area of his employment.

Questions have been raised about close ties between Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, President Obama and lobbyists for Keystone XL project to carry crude from the tar sands of Alberta to the refineries of Texas.

The London Guardian reported, “Friends of the Earth said on Thursday they were expanding their freedom of information request for emails between State Department officials and the pipeline company after learning of seven more pipeline lobbyists who had worked on Obama and Clinton’s presidential campaigns, or had ties to Bill Clinton.”

  1. Ethics never stopped Bill Clinton before, it won't stop him now, nor will it in the future. The real issue is this: who in their right mind in Israel will listen to the self-serving tripe. Unfortunately for Mr. Clinton, this is the age of the net, and nothing he does goes unnoticed anymore than what he says.

  2. I guess the scores of millions of dollars that Arabs pumped into his libray and foundation don't count here. This is just from 2007, and includes just the Saudi gift… http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/14/AR2007121402124.html

He had Arafat to the Whie House a dozen times and got Ehud Barak at Camp David and Taba to yield UNSC Res. 242's promise after the 6-Day Wa rof secure, more defensible borders, offereing Arafat almost all of Judea and Samaria, the "West Bank." While the Egyptian ghoul refused, that became the new starting point in subsequent "negotiations."

  4. Oslo caused enough damage to Israel. Jewish blood was spilled as a result, for which Clinton and Shimon Peres are both responsible. We would like to see Clinton stay away from Israel. As far as Shimon Peres is concerned, looks like we are stuck with him.

  5. One minor correction: Clinton is the richest living ex-president, with the probable exception of George H. W. and George W. Bush. The richest living (and otherwise) president is Barack Obama.

The U.S. provides tax breaks to oil and gas drillers, as an incentive for producing more. Some may disagree, but I believe that's smart policy. The less dependent we are on foreign oil (except possibly Canadian), the better we are.

The same goes for Israel, which gets most of its oil and gas from not-so-friendly exporters. The same tax breaks should apply there as here. Tsvi, your hatred of everything Clintonian is showing, and it makes you (and your publication) look like complete jerks.
