A television correspondent and her cameraman from WDBJ-TV7 were both shot to death early this morning as they were recording a live interview at a shopping mall in Virginia.

Footage from the incident appears to show a man stepping into the frame and pointing a gun at 24-year-old reporter Alison Parker before the film begins to go off kilter. The cameraman, 27-year-old Adam Ward, was also shot and killed. A third person, a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, was moderately injured and rushed to hospital, where she underwent surgery.
