It was a true Chanukah miracle for a young couple from Dolev, whose one-year-old daughter was kidnapped by local Arab that had hijacked the family’s car on Tuesday afternoon, December 3.

Driving home to Dolev, a community located in the southern Samarian hills north of Jerusalem, the Israeli mother had her daughter buckled in the back seat, when an Arab vehicle that had been tailgating them suddenly bumped into the rear end of her car.

“I pulled over and got out to check what had happened. There were three Palestinians in the other vehicle and one of them came out and asked if there was any damage. I turned around to reply and before I could even answer, he was already in my vehicle,” the mother told Yediot Aharonot.

“The two cars drove off and I was left helpless.”

The Arab carjacker sped away with the young mother’s car – as well as her little girl who was asleep in the backseat, next to her mother’s cellphone and wallet.

In an interview with Tazpit News Agency, the girl’s father described the frantic phone call he received from his wife following the carjacking.

“They left my wife standing in the middle of the highway all alone and the only thing she could do was yell: ‘my baby’s been kidnapped.’ A Palestinian man saw her yelling, pulled over and gave her his cellphone so that she could call me and the police,” the father told Tazpit.

“When I received the call, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I wasn’t sure if it was even my wife. The number was unknown and my wife was hysterically yelling that our daughter might be killed. I asked her what my teudat zehut [Israeli identity number] was to verify that she was really my wife and when she told me, I knew the situation was real,” recalled the father.

He asked a friend who was armed to drive him to his wife’s location.

“At the spot that my wife had described where our daughter was kidnapped, I found my wife hysterical. She pointed in the direction that the Palestinians had driven off – to Ramallah.”

Recalling the situation, the husband said he was proud of his wife. “She didn’t faint, she alerted everyone who had to be alerted – this was a horrifying situation.”

The husband, who asked to be kept anonymous for security concerns, said he and his friend immediately drove to the nearby Arab village to locate the car.

“We couldn’t find the car in the first village, so we drove off to the neighboring village and there was an Arab man there who stopped us and told us in Hebrew, “Come with me, everything will be OK.”

They followed him and the father and his friend found the car abandoned, with several Arabs surrounding it. “I immediately went to the back door and our little girl woke up,” he told Tazpit. “She gave me a smile, which made me feel better, and I gave her a hug. I acted as if nothing was wrong – that we weren’t in the middle of a Palestinian village, or that our car had been stolen—as if everything was OK.”

But the story didn’t end there. Palestinian police arrived on scene and wanted to take away the father to Ramallah for questioning. The father refused and waited for Israeli police and military to arrive. Once they did, the couple and their daughter then traveled with Israeli police to a station in Modiin-Illit and the mother was asked to identify the car thieves, who were familiar to police.

Those arabs who helped protect the child…will actually merit and get their 70 virgins in heaven while those who try to harm Jews will get 70 VERMIN to bite and eat them in HELL for all eternity.

  5. Goodness and humanity can exist in the hearts of all humans since we are God's children. It is only when evil becomes the driver and cruel, vicious ways overtake the person. If life was left to the normal, hard working people/families – we would ALL get along. Evil is real and in this case – evil was triumph by Good. Israel is a shining example of good – in a dark area of the world.

  6. one thing is for sure GOD is in control of every thing GOD bless them

  7. the Jewish Press could have enhanced this news service article with some maps, and an explanation of whether it falls in the A, B or C regions and what that means for security jurisdiction between the 1949 armistice line and the Jordan River.

    she was in shock

  9. Cody Flecker says:

This episode was only one good example out of a million bad examples of people especially Arabs of doing eveil. When you believe in Moloch, anythings possible. Read you Bible for more clues about Moloch.

    Wonderful

  14. Moishe Sachs says:

Jeffrey, that's sounds like a good point. I don't see why the Press wouldn't have ready your suggested contextual background information from now on.
    Stubbs is reflecting himself.

  15. Bigmouth unstead worrying about Iran, he should worry what is happening in Israel, he should order to strike in Samaria and Judea once for all.

  16. Willy van Wermeskerken says:

    Fantastisch eind

  17. davidcnl Do you think they would not have hit her again, if she had not stopped?

  18. Wonderful end but I have to say striking Samaria and Judea makes far more sense the striking Iran not forgetting Gaza. Palestinian Arabs are no better than the savages roaming all over Europe, the US the rest of the Middle East and Iran. Israel's children are daily in danger as are Israel's women. As much as Israel has wise governance a civil confrontation on Israel's doorstep would indeed set an example to the rest of the crazy middle east and might just give the rest of Secular Copts the courage to turn on their own mad mullahs as Egypt is doing. I agree with the Rabbis stone throwing is a violence that kills and is murder against Israels citizens.

  19. Bill Russell says:

    showsppl of goodwill everywhere

  20. Sarah Williams says:

Because she didn't know they were Arab criminals and that this was anything other than a fender-bender. BTW, this used to be a common tactic in the US as well.

  21. Sarah Williams says:

Proving that Palestinians and Israelis, Muslims and Jews, equally detest carjackers, thieves and kidnappers.

  22. there is no nation it s name Israel …

  23. Les Legato says:

Proving that Jewish women should be armed and never get out of a car without being ready to use it.

  24. And what about this person who told the husband where the car is, and that it will be alright, he deserves some kind of recognition for his kindness.

  25. Vivienne you should be ashamed of your hateful comments against an entire people. Most Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims are very peaceful people and its not their fault some extremists are the loudest or most organized. When one person commits a crime its not the entire groups fault. You can find bad Jews or Christians who commit violent acts or crimes but you won't accuse them of evil collectively. You are a hypocrite and an extremist.
