Assad Murders More Than 300 Syrians in Bakery Bombing (Video)

As Syria continues to turn into a state-wide war zone, a particularly gruesome pattern seems to be emerging.  The Assad regime appears to be targeting bakeries in pro-rebel towns, thereby ensuring huge casualties.

The reason bakeries are such a “high value” target is that shortages of fuel and flour have resulted in erratic bread production throughout the country, thus there are often huge numbers of people waiting hours in line for bread.

According to Al-Arabiya, activists at the scene of a bakery bombing Sunday, December 23, in Halfaya said that hundreds of people were waiting to purchase bread when a jet dropped a bomb.  Halfaya is located in the central region of Hama.

A video taken at the scene shortly after the bomb landed, showed dozens of bodies in piles, and dying people and bloody body parts strewn throughout the area.  People can be seen looking through the piles of bodies, presumably searching for relatives.  There are also many people taking pictures of the carnage; some continued taking pictures when wounded looked to them beseechingly for help.

Prior to sunday’s attack, one of the bloodiest single attacks in the Syrian civil war was the bombing of a bakery in Aleppo on August 16.  sixty people were killed in the August bakery bombing.

And how does the author know Assad is behind this?

Those who are pro Nazi Muslim Brotherhood–have no right to act against Assad–they get what they deserve!

Assad is certainly an evil ruler–but he is much better than the Nazi Muslim Brotherhood!

  3. Hadar Israel says:

    IT'S NO BAKERY!
    All this is bubkes!
ALL of the people killed wore miitary fatigues or jihadi Afghan-style clothing! NO WOMEN! NO KIDS! If that was a bakery line…
Even leftist European media doubt that it was a bakery and say that there are no signs it was one!
Why believe ANYTHING coming out from an armed jihadi movement FILLED with foreign Al Qaida mujaiidin?

  5. There is something seriously wrong with almost all of the footage that I see coming out of Syria. Namely, that the value of video propaganda is more important than life itself. What is equally disturbing is how "Allahu Akbar" is the ONLY repeatedly uttered phrase. They don't even offer help to the wounded. They just yell the phrase over and over again. How can normal people be alright with this practice. If your child is dying and armed men run toward you yelling that G-d is great, wouldn't you be wondering what they value most? I hate that innocent people are dying in Syria. I really do. It just disturbs me to imagine that the rebels care more about Jihad than the bleeding and dying "civilians" (assuming that's who were laying on the ground).

  6. Welcome to the Middle East (okay, parts of it). And look at Gaza these days.
