Soldier tackles terrorist who stabbed him bear the security fence in Samaria, east of Tel Aviv.

A Palestinian Authority terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier at the security fence near the Oranit checkpoint on the western edge of Samaria shortly before noon Thursday,

Soldiers were confronting a group of Palestinian Authority Arabs who were trying to sneak across the security fence when the terrorist pulled out a knife and attacked his victim as the soldier tackled him.

The soldier is being treated for light to moderate wounds, and troops have captured the attacker.

Highway 5, at the major artery connecting Ariel and other communities in central Samaria with Tel Aviv, has been closed.
