The Central Bureau of Statistics has published statistics on the most common causes of death in the country for the year 2015.

A quarter of the deaths in Israel for that year were caused by cancer, according to the CBS. The data reflect that 14.4 percent of the deaths were caused by cardiovascular diseases, 5.7 percent of those who died were killed by infectious disease and diabetes, and 5.5 percent of the deaths were caused by stroke.
