Collective Punishment? Is This Arsenal From Innocent Bystanders?

The mountain of violent weaponry seized from the homes of the Arabs the IDF searched in their quest to find the kidnapped boys belies the claims these are innocent bystanders, harassed by the IDF.

Most civilized human beings around the world, even ones who belong to the Blame-Israel-First Club (and it is a large interfaith club, composed of Muslims, Christians and Jews, liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, light-skinned and dark-skinned) have had the grace to either express concern about the unjustified kidnapping of  Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frenkel, or have just kept their mouths shut. At least for now.

There have been some spectacularly offensive comments, mostly from anonymous cowardly tweeters, justifying the kidnapping either because the boys are “settlers” (actually two of the three boys live inside the “Green Line,” as if where they live should make any difference when discussing teenage boys kidnapped by genocidal terrorists) or because of vehement disagreements – well-informed or not – with the policies of the Israeli government.

But another ugly meme has been to distract from the anguish of the kidnapping by focusing on behavior by the Israeli government in the search for the boys. This is a refrain appearing more often in media accounts.

This distraction uses either the words “collective punishment,” or merely suggests that the arrests of the Palestinian Arabs in the disputed territories where the boys are believed to have been taken is unjustified, excessive and arbitrary.

Really?

The pictures which follow show some of the munitions found and removed from the homes of the Arabs which the IDF have arrested. Does this suggest that innocent bystanders are being unfairly “punished” by Israeli defenders seeking to recover three teenage schoolboys?

Hé oui les arabes sont sur armé. Et les juifs eux
Totalement désarmés. On devrait mettre.

  9. Collective punishment? That’s all Jews have ever gotten from Romans, to Roman Christians (all) to Islam. Then we are expected to act as these civilizations never have. There is nothing wrong with wiping out our enemies. Let them say whatever filth they want to espouse as usual.

  10. Continue your good work IDF.

A curious amount of American-made weapons. Israel needs to tell the US "No, you will not be arming the Palestinian police forces, because their weapons have a curious habit of disappearing."

  14. Loren Renee says:

Good job! Keep going. We pray we find the boys, in the process we will leave them drained on arms. They will have to attack us with rubber bands next time.

  16. Gun control is hitting the enemy every time you shoot! Our armed enemy thinks nothing of doing harm to Jews and all non islamics and have said they intend to kill all of us…intent backed by their actions and the use of weapons, whether rocks or bullets, to harm us. It would be truly merciful to put them out of our misery. "They Must Go!"

    Excellent Work!!!

And these are what? instruments of ‘peace’??? for heaven’s sake…people are moaning about what the IDF is doing to find the boys…people who know something…and in doing so, this is what they uncovered & confiscated…now the next step is finding out where they buy the weapons and from whom? Sadly there are many choices when it comes to that.

Half the time I'm trying to convince myself to come back to this web site. I don't know if its since I "upgraded" to Windows 7 or what. But I have been plagued with problems from sites like Jewish Press and others. I've lost work from the page "refreshing". Comments generally is a pain in the ass. Especially with the Facebook always trying to ADD **** while I type. I HATE Facebook.

  21. David Darko says:

The IDF should continue the search operation throughout Yudea and sammeria.. There are still more dangerous weapons in their possession.

  22. What they are there to make baby food and snacks for the other kids!?!

  23. No surprise, those are jihad.

  24. Good work all at the IDF but you forgot the stones. Shalom Israel we love you

  25. Doug Logan says:

Bibi is so weak and an embarrassment. After millions of Jews were murdered for the #1 prize(Israel and Jerusalem), Bibi, Peres, Livni, Barak, etc. can't wait to give it up under pressure from the very countries boycotting Israel and attacking Judaism at its core. Every time Bibi crawls…every time he wants to give it all away… the Islamic Nazis have his and Israel's number. All those times when Israel gave up the Islamic Nazi Child Killers for 'peace', Bibi was/is pathetic and the enemy keeps doing its dirt, while Bibi wants allies who are totally against him and Israel. What a continued disaster. Now Obama is in bed with Iran still building its nukes against Israel. What is it you don't get?

  26. Hit Hamas and keep doing so until they return these children … or they are wiped out
