Condition of Poisoned Brothers Improves

Both brothers who were in life-threatening condition from the same poison that killed their two younger sisters last week now are breathing on their own, doctors at Schneider Children’s Medical Center said Wednesday.

Five-year-old Yitzchak woke up from from unconsciousness, but his seven-year-old brother Michael, remains sedated.

Although their condition is better, doctors said they cannot yet declare that they are out of danger.

Their sisters, Avigail, 1, and Yael, 4, were buried last week after succumbing to the poison, which is lethal when coming in contact with water. It had had been left behind by an exterminator.
