AMSTERDAM (JTA) — A Dutch municipality is facing criticism for describing Jerusalem, Nazareth and Tiberias as “cities in Palestine.”

Likud Netherlands, a local association, published on its website Friday an article which carried a screen capture photo from Google Street View of the street sign of Tiberias Path in the city of Eindhoven with the description, in which Likud Netherlands accused the municipality of “wiping Israel off the map.”

An intersecting street, Hebron Path, also described Hebron as a city in Palestine, as is Jerusalem Lane – all located within the Woensel district. The sign on Judea Lane described it “an area of Palestine,” as does the street sign of Samaria Lane.

A spokesperson from the municipality of Eindhoven declined to offer any immediate reaction to the publication when he was contacted by the Hilversum-based broadcaster RTL.

I think we should call "municipality of Eindhoven" a part of Israel. Only problem is we don't want them.

  14. Anonymous says:

Or… it could be that they have advance knowledge that the Israelis do want to gave up their land to the Palestinians. After all, then the Jews in the USA would feel satisfied that Israel is no more.

  15. Alan Kardon says:

Maybe you have an old Nazi map?

  16. redbear358 I can assure you that "the Jews in the USA" would never be satisfied that Israel is no more. If my country doesn't acknowledge the rise of anti-Semitism here and start NOW to do something about it, "the Jews in the USA" will be fleeing to Israel for safety.

  17. If the countries that harbor Muslim "immigrants" don't stop trying to appease their Muslim population at the expense of the other citizens there will be rioting in the streets the like of which has not been seen since the French Revolution… especially in America where we are allowed firearms, and where our Constitution says we have the right to armed resistance to a tyrannical government.

I am not an anarchist and fear the advancing breakdown of law and order, of which the government itself has been the initiator in picking and choosing which laws it will break in favor of illegal aliens. But Americans will fight back when this type of atrocity hits in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  19. Harold Taback says:

What is new about the Dutch. During WW11 they betrayed hidden Jews and helped the Nazis to eliminate almost the entire Dutch Jewish community

  20. There were many Dutch who helped Jews durihg WWII. Examples are the Ten Booms (Corrie and her family) Peter van Woerden, Miep Vlag. Many children were 'onderduikers' with Dutch families. The government had to flee to England. Of course there were also the 'collaborators' with the Nazi regime, when Holland was overrun.by the Germans!

  21. It were the collaborators who betrayed hidden Jews like Anne Frank and her family and the ten Booms, whose hiders were not found at the time, if I rightly remember!

  22. This should have been part of my reply to Mr Taback, as well as the post below!
