European Union foreign ministers meeting Brussels on Monday approved a plan to buy peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority with “unprecedented” amounts of political, financial and security support.

If both sides reach a peace pact, the EU promised to offer both of them a “special privileged partnership” that would give them increased access to European markets, facilitation of trade and investment and closer cultural and scientific ties and other advantages.
