A European Union official said that its Political and Security Committee has approved a policy to offer Israel and the Palestinian Authority an aid package that could be worth billions of dollars if they sign an agreement, Haaretz reported.

The official, who insisted on anonymity, said the European Union will announce the policy on Monday after expected approval by the EU’s 25 member countries.
