Explosives that detonated on Tuesday morning near the Gaza border were planted by terrorists, the IDF Spokespersons’ office said in a tweet.

They detonated while the Israel Defense Forces engineering unit was working near the fence. The unit was searching for explosive charges they believed to be buried in the area following intelligence reports.
