Fellow IDF soldiers from the Sayeret Givati Brigade are calling on the public to pay their respects to the family of their comrade-in-arms, Sayeret Givati fighter Coby Burstein.

The 25-year-old lone soldier, a U.S. citizen, was killed Sunday in a tragic motor vehicle accident near Moshav Tarom near the Jerusalem suburb of Beit Shemesh. “He was much admired by his comrades in the company,” said another soldier in the brigade.

Burstein’s parents arrived Monday afternoon, just in time to accompany their son’s body to his final resting place at the cemetery in Kibbutz Lavi, in the Lower Galilee.

“Since most of [Coby’s] family is in the United States, it is important to us for you to come and bring your friends to share with the family and pay your respects,” said members of the Lone Soldiers Association. “May his memory be blessed.”
