Firefighters battle brush fire in Mount Hebron.

A brush fire ignited near Moshav Sde Hemed in central Israel during the afternoon Wednesday on the holiday of Shavuot.

Israel Police evacuated a number of residents living in the area, according to Ynet.

Roads leading to and from the moshav were also closed down, as firefighters worked to get control over the blaze.

It’s not clear what started the fire.

Approximately 1,000 people live in the moshav, which is located near the city of Kfar Sava.
