The Knesset’s Economic Committee passed its first reading on a proposal which would require government organizations to pay suppliers based on terms of Net+30.

In addition the proposal would add a fine paid to the suppliers, based on the sums owed that weren’t pay on time.

The committee hopes this puts an end to the government not paying suppliers on time, in particular, small businesses.
