A flash grenade (a nonlethal explosive that makes a bright flash and a loud bang) was thrown on Ben Yehuda street in Jerusalem on Tuesday afternoon. There were no injuries or damage.

Following the explosion a large number of security forces converged on the scene.

Police determined that the grenade was thrown from the roof of one of the buildings.

They are conducting searches to see if they can find the perpetrator.
