The crossings into pre-1967 Israel from Judea, Samaria and Gaza were closed at one minute past midnight on Tuesday in accordance with standard Yom Kippur security procedures.

The general closure is carried out every year to ensure the security of the country, under orders from the Ministry of Defense, the IDF Chief of Staff, and the political echelon.

During the closure, only humanitarian cases, and medical emergencies are allowed through the crossings into pre-1967 Israel.

The closure is slated to end one minute before midnight on Wednesday night.
