Government Approves Bill to Annex the Jordan Valley

After almost 47 years in which the entire area conquered in 1967, other than East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, have remained a military occupation zone, this Sunday the Netanyahu government approved a bill that would annex the Jordan Valley.

The government ministers’ legislation committee approved a bill proposed by MK Miri Regev (Likud), to impose Israeli law over Jewish settlements in the Jordan Valley. 8 ministers voted for, 3 against.

The committee chairperson, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, said the bill was irresponsible, and whomever supports it is irresponsible, too. She said it was meant as an assault on the government, since policy regarding the disputed territories is a government matter and should not be handled via private bills.

Livni added that the bills’ supporters wish to remain in the government despite the fact that it’s negotiating for a 2-state solution, and at the same time curry favor with the right wing “extremists.”

Did we mention already that she called it provocative and irresponsible?

Yesh Atid Minister Yaakov Perry said the Miri Regev bill to annex the Valley in the middle of a sensitive negotiation, days before the next visit of the American secretary of state is a provocation and a publicity stunt. Perry promised to appeal the bill at the Supreme Court.

In Israel you don’t have to wait until a bill becomes a law to appeal it – and in this way the judiciary can function as an active member of the legislator, despite the fact that no one voted for them, and that they were all appointed by their brother in law, who’s also a judge. Very traditional.

The Israeli media covered mostly what the left had to say about Miri Regev, but the website Srugim actually interviewed Regev, who said she was pleased.

“It’s an important bill, which delivers the message that the State of Israel will not give up the Valley settlements, the eastern security belt of the state,” she said.

A note of interest: the votes in favor of the bill came from all the votes of the Likud, Israel Beiteinu and Jewish Home. This may be an indication that the pro-settlements MKs will be able to turn it into law, especially if Prime Minister Netanyahu does not actively try to kill it – which he has done in similar situations in the past.

The vote today clearly means that Netanyahu gave his approval, tacit or complete, to the annexation bill, making the next Palestinian walkout threat a virtual reality.

Should they walk, Israel may be able to use it as an excuse to halt the murderer prisoner release.

Or Bibi will just kill the bill and we’ll all move on.

BS"D they will pass the law and then, do the same for Yehuda and Shomron. oh, btw, it would be wise to sew Livni's and Perry's mouths shut… protect us
    from foolish, self-hating Jews.

  4. This land has been given to Israel forever by God. It is completely absurd to witness the whole world trying to give it away. When a peace like that IS made it won’t last as it won’t be a true peace and try’s to steal God’s land. The US desire to collaborate with Israel to verify that Iran is living up to it’s nuclear agreements would be the equivalent of Israel going along with the west’s fantasy that Iran is much farther behind than it is in it’s nuclear pursuits. The US proposal to patrol the west bank is also not a solid Idea as no one but the US will respect it; making the US a combatant rather than a peace broker. I believe that these types of decisions are likely going to lead to the war spoken of in Isaiah 17 or possibly another conflict, and a one world government will be set up eventually due in part to the demand for peace and economic concerns after it’s finish. An agreement with Israel and the Arabs will be made and will start the 7 year tribulation period. Three 1/2 years into the tribulation period Russia and an Iranian lead Muslim confederacy will invade Israel and reach down to Egypt but will be defeated by the west. China in recent years has become more determined to set up a hegemony of sorts in Asia and the Pacific. Now they have expanded their “air defense identification zone” to enforce their claims on the Islands they “currently” say are theirs. Rev 9:16 and Rev 16:12 states that the nations of the east will invade and have an army of 200 million men. The forces of the west under the anti-Christ will then fight against the kings of the east in the valley of Armageddon. China looks now to be the leader of that eastern coalition. I wrote a small 6 or 7 page book that talks about what I believe the Bible states will take place soon as well as the potential trends I see at this time. I don’t accept donations and it’s free. It’s a short read. I encourage you to have a look: http://www.booksie.com/religion_and_spirituality/book/richard_b_barnes/after-the-rapture-whats-next

After the Israeli conquest in 1967, the Jordan Valley did not become an "occupation zone." It was restored to control by the State of Israel, along with the rest of Judea and Samaria and the Old City. Instead of just retaking the land and saving itself a whole lot of trouble, Israel offered to exchange the land for peace, establishing its status as "disputed territory." Why does the Jewish Press print the lies and distortions used in the propaganda of Israel's enemies, instead of the factual truth? Really disappointing. Otherwise, great news!

Israel has also already annexed the Golan Heights, Yet, Israeli Leaders sent Kerry to Assad in ~2009
to surrender the Golan Heights to Syria as “goodwill gesture” to Kerry.

The Massachusetts senator that was a “prominent admirer” of Assad has recently decribed him as a thug and murderer.

Yet Kerry still think of the PLO as “peace partners” as IF PLO have no connection to Assad And as IF PLO are not Mohamed followers same as Assad is.

Like they wouldn't have found an excuse to "walk out" anyway?

For those of you who are uninformed and need a Primer:

    Martin Kramer:
Gaza is a place with no Israeli settlements, from which Israel has totally withdrawn to the 1967 lines, and which nonetheless has become a Hamas terror state. That’s what happens in conditions of Gazafication. So when people say that in a two-state solution, Palestinians would have a "right of return" to the West Bank and not Israel, I do not find that particularly reassuring either. Any influx of Palestinians across the Jordan poses a problem for Israel, and it is naive to dismiss it. I would like to hear how, in a two-state scenario, Gazafication of the West Bank can be prevented. I haven't heard it yet.

    Neither have I.

Read The Haj by Leon Uris. And ask these questions:

What year did the nation of Palestine come into existance?
What were its national borders and what year did it cease to exist?
What currency did the nation of Palestine use and why is there no history of it?
Name one leader to the “nation of Palestine” prior to Yasser Arafat.

There never has been a peace process. The current talks are a ruse to release terrorists to make Abu Mazen popular. To encourage Jew's to leave their anti-semitic countries, land is needed for more housing. Israel was not created by the UN. G-D created Israel, 3350 years ago.
