Government Panel Wants to Fund Abortions

The government will actively promote abortions by funding them for women between ages 20 and 33 if a proposal by a Health Ministry committee is accepted.

Israel’s”basket” of drugs and medical treatment gives hefty discounts for citizens, and the government adds “goodies” to the basket each year. The committee that came up with this coming year’s basket recommends that health funds cover abortions for women in the age bracket even if they have no medical reason to terminate a pregnancy.

Drugs for ADD/ADHD and alcohol addiction were not included in the recommendations for this year’s basket, but approval was suggested for new drugs for cancer treatment, AIDS and epilepsy.

  1. Good! A woman in her reproductive years should have the right to control whether or not she bares a child. Whether from failure of contraception, unplanned occasions, incest or rape or any of many other reasons, she has the right to control her own fertility. NO ONE should be made to have a child against their will.

  2. David Brooks says:

More children have been aborted in Israel than during the Shoah. Yes, why wouldn’t our government consider state-funding?

  3. Any person who helps or consents to the murdering of the unborn child, is still guilty of shedding innocent blood. Also, a woman will either be the mother of a living child or a dead child. She will still be a mother. We were created in the beginning, not in the physical womb first.

  4. Karen Bryant says:

Does anyone give thought to the fact that abortion is murder of baby by mother !!! How can anyone think that abortion abortion is okay .
