Government prosecutors told a sentence hearing on Monday that the former prime minister should be jailed for at least 6 six years and fined nearly $400,000 for bribery.

He was convicted last month for buying favors in the development of the Holyland apartment complex while he was mayor of Jerusalem.

The prosecutor also asked the court to put former Jerusalem mayor Uri Lupianski in prison for 5-8 years.
