Hamas Test of ‘Tel Aviv Missile’ Rattles Coastal Cities

Hamas test-fired a medium-range M-75 missile Tuesday night, firing it into the Mediterranean Sea but with its explosion shaking up residents in Ashdod, Ashkelon and other coastal cities.

Channel 2 television reported that the M-75 missile carried a slightly larger warhead and longer range than similar rockets that can reach 50 miles, a distance that includes Tel Aviv.

The Jewish Press reported here earlier this week that rocket fire on Gaza Belt communities is only a warm-up for an attack on metropolitan Tel Aviv, the industrial heart of Israel.

Hamas fired the M-75 missiles on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in November 2012, when Israel’s Iron Dome system intercepted the rockets during the IDF’s Pillar of Cloud counter-terrorist operation.

  4. Adam Michael Birkbeck says:

Meanwhile, they cry 'humanitarian crisis' over not supplying their people with services or food now the arms and other smuggling tunnels have been bombed sky high by Egypt and the Rafah Crossing into Egypt is closed.

  5. Glenn S Todd says:

Israel has NEVER declared war on any arab country. Israel was able to defend itself when the arab countries attacked her. When ever Israel retaliated to such an extent whereby she could have inflicted more damage, the COWARDLY un STEPPED IN BECAUSE OF THE ARAB NATIONS WHO WENT CRYING TO THEM TO HAVE iSRAEL STOP. Netanyahu knows that he is only wasting his time by complaining to the UN> He knows that the UN will not do anything while Hamas and Hizbullah constantly keep shooting the rockets into Israel.
