The terrorist was neutralized by other soldiers in the area, who overpowered the attacker without firing their weapons. He was arrested and transferred to security personnel for interrogation.

Earlier in the day, two terrorists in Hebron tried to stab Israeli Border Guard Police officers at the Cave of the Patriarchs, near the Tel Rumeida neighborhood.

Both of the attackers, residents of Hebron, were shot by IDF soldiers stationed at the site. One of the terrorists died at the scene of the attempted stabbing; the second was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
