“We already have a partnership with Israel,” Bright Food Group Ltd.. Deputy General Manager Ke Li told Globes. “Our representatives travel to Israel three to four times each year, and we already have partnerships with dairy-technology companies, like SCR,” an Israeli technology company that develops advanced milking management systems.

Globes added that Israeli technology has made China’s “Super Cows” world famous, capable of producing  up to 10.5 tons of milk per annum, 10 percent more than the United States and nearly twice as much as German cows.

In addition to Ms Ke’s remarks, China’s economic attache to Israel, Hu Ming said he understood government opposition in Israel to the sale. But he added that Bright Food’s purchase of Tnuva was motivated solely by economic, rather than political or diplomatic, considerations.

“This is an ordinary business deal, made between two companies. The considerations are strictly economic. There is no political or strategic meaning to this deal. We will comply 100 percent with Israeli law and we will listen to the Israeli government.

“The Chinese interest is to crew ate good relations and to develop the international market. The other side wants to sell to China because it wants to leave the (Israeli) market. It’s business, nothing more. it will be good for Israel – relations between our two countries at the moment are very good.

“If china buys Tnuva, nothing will change. No one will lose their job, the market will remain stable and quality will not go down. The Chinese government will not allow Bright Food to harm the quality of the products. We promise will remain exactly the same – it’s really important to us. Don’t worry, today Chinese companies are buying many companies overseas, in Western countries and we are operating in concert with international standards,” Mr Hu said.
